Take That is back

Liked them very much last time...And they are back. Without Robbie though. Described as "the most successful British band since The Beatles in the UK, beloved of young and old alike", their new single, Patience is a nice song.

Food reviewsss

It's time for some food reviews again....So here it goes...

1) Crystal Jade La Mian and Xiao Long Bao

Originated from Hong Kong, I first tasted it in Singapore. There is only one branch here in KL situated in Lot 10. Must try is their La Mian and Xiao Long Bao....Very nice....I personally like their dry La Mian compared to the soup. Their Fried Pork Ribs is not bad also but quite expensive for just a few pieces. The soup La Mian is quite a big portion, so share it..And Crystal Jade is nicer than Dragon I in 1U....A lot nicer...

2) U-Village in Sungai Wang...

Ermmm....same concept as Kim Gary or Wong Kok...So it's a wiser choice to choose the latter.Poor poor service which makes me feel like slapping the waiters/ waitresses.

3) Zang Toi's choc banana cake

Temptation is hard to resist....Melting warm choc toppled with vanilla ice cream....One word says it all..satisfying....

4) Zuup soup bar in 1U

Food is nicely decorated, and it taste good also....Their dinner set is worth a try but I got to know that their Mushroom Cappucino is marvelous. Will definitely try it next time.

5) Manhattan Fish Market

Well, no need introduction to this place...Like their buttered rice a lot and their platter sets.

6) Roti kosong/ roti sardin/ roti tisu

Head to Maideen's in Taman Connaught. It serves one of the best rotis I've tasted. Their drinks are nice too....

Tiring.....

So tiredddd......Wondering if age is really catching up but I guess it's just the busy weekend that make sme so tired now...:)
Well, started off on Friday night with a movie- Night at the Musuem ....it's definitely a must watch for some entertaining and funny scenes....I like Octavius and Jedediah the most....Falling in love wth Owen Wilson all over again....
Then, it was an early Saturday morning with badminton, breakfast, shopping, and ended with a BBQ blast...
Today is just as hectic, gym, movie and late lunch and dinner....Now....i am listening to Victor Wong's album in a state of half consciousness...
Thanks all for making my weekend a fulfilling one...

Watched quite a lot of movies lately....
Guess Who - Ashton Kuscher can be so funny sometimes...
Elizabethtown - This movie makes me cry...touches my heart...Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst have nothing much to offer here, but the plot of the movie is nice. Makes me realize a lot of things...
Step up - watch it if you like films like Dirty dancing.....the last dance scene is nice but still nothing compares to Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing....
Haunted Apartments - ermmm...nothing much to talk about.....ordinary horror flick, with predictable strotyline
The Return - flashbacks....too many of them...makes the movie....boring.............but Sarah Michelle Gellar is hot.
Night at the Museum - fun all the way "dumd, dumb...give me gum gum"
The Guardian - nice movie....used to like Kevin Costner and still find him quite attractive but he's old...just like Harrison Ford....

Time to sleep. Keep tuning in for reviews on FOOD....

Ending of 2006

Happy New Year.....It's 2007...

New year, new hopes and dreams, new resolutions and new targets to achieve....I have all my resolutions set up and I am confident to achieve them (maybe not all) but at least half of them by end of the year....

Well....the past few days had been fun, fun and fun....I had a walk in Starhill for Christmas, had a wonderful Japanese buffet and had a wonderful time....

Then, it's off to Langkawi and Penang for a great holiday. It was indeed fun. Started our journey about 3 am on 27th and reached back KL on 31st evening....Among the most memorable events:-

Mangrove tour where we are able to see beautiful eagles feeding, bats, enjoyed the wind and fantastic view of the mangrove in Langkawi.... And not forgetting my first time touching a stingray and horseshoe crab....

Tour around Four Seasons Hotel....damn beautiful.....and I checked the price and the cheapest will be RM1k plus per night.....Will you pay that price for luxury? Hmmmmm......

Underwater world- lots and lots of fish and cute cute penguines

Waterfall- though a small one but nonetheless, the water is so cooling....

We are unlucky as the cable car was closed because of windy condition up at the mountain...so we did a bit of detour and played with rabbits...lots of them....It was a wonderful experience...

And not forgetting the liquor and chocs we bought....

Then, we travelled to Penang....for another round of camping....It was great...We trekked at about 7pm and imagine the experience...trekking the jungle in the dark....And someone actually said he saw something.....Creepyyyy....

Sleeping in the tent, and watching stars at night.....by the sea with the sound of the waves....wonderful. And it's not complete without a morning walk to the small jetty and along the beach to the rocks....Took a lot of pictures....Oh ya and not forgetting someone asking for tissue paper at 3am to do "big business"...Gosh....

And we actually de-tour into Parkroyal in Penang because someone needs to do some "big business"...Heheheh.....another beautiful hotel.

Had lots of nice food in Penang- char kuey teow, asam laksa, o-chien (many times), char kuey kak, lobak, rojak, mee special, mee jawa, prawn mee, chendol, ice kacang....amazing right? Don't be surprised....we can really eat......kekekeke

Thanks to all for making this a wonderful trip....So, where is our next destination?
